Crag X Indoor Climbing Gym
A bold investment in downtown Victoria, offering access to a world-class urban climbing centre at Crag X.
Working closely with Chandler Associates Architecture, we were hired to construct this building, designed with 50’ perimeter insulated precast concrete wall panels and an open interior space. Our crew had the challenge of erecting and placing the 80,000-lb panels within inches of adjoining properties, with five days to finish the job. The expansive glass storefront maximizes natural light for climbers, and the building’s specialized mechanical systems ensure a fresh air environment, which can be challenging for chalk-filled indoor gyms. The interior climbing walls were imported from a specialized Bulgarian company and installed on-site.
